The United States has historically been a powerhouse in Sailing at the Summer Olympics; it currently holds the most medals and is ranked second behind Great Britain. Unfortunately, this prowess has begun to decline, as witnessed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London where no US sailor medaled. This downturn is partly due to lack of funding for US sailors when compared to international teams. While other countries fully fund the campaign of their teams, we rely on the generosity of friends and family, along with corporate sponsorship, to achieve our dream of competing in the Olympics.

We are working hard towards perfecting our boat handling and improving our racing technique, but in order to compete at the top level, we also need to cover our campaign costs. Any size or form of contribution is greatly appreciated, as every donation will bring us closer to that coveted gold medal!

Airline miles are also helpful, as we travel across the country and the world for competitions and training camps. This year, we will be flying to Spain, Miami, and Rio de Janeiro.
